Geocaching Tips
- Don't read the hints out loud; some in the group like to find the caches without using the hints! (tip by Carl Cardinal)
- It is useful to have more than one GPS when geocaching with a group; makes it easier to zero-in on the correct location. (tip by Carol Cardinal)
- Geocaching is a great way to meet new people, make new friends, and share stories! (tip by Caleb and Caitlin Cardinal)
- If you can't find the cache when you're zeroed out, try looking with a radius of your accuracy factor. Accuracy Factor = Search Radius (tip sent by Christian W.)
- Always look for the geo-trail before bushwacking because most likely there is at least a faint geo-trail that will lead you right to the cache. (tip sent by Dellisa)
- Along the same line--try not to leave a geo-trail that is too obvious to the casual hiker. Some geo-trails are too obvious-- crushed grass and trampled bushes where there is no official trail. (tip sent by Dellisa)
